Hi Claudia, thanks for your note. Wifi was a little bit of problem for us while in Desolation Sound and the Broughton Islands last summer, but not a major one. It is one of the reasons we are still writing about our trip to the PNW. Not much connectivity, unless we happened to get phone reception (we had a Canadian plan while there). We hardly ever got phone reception while on the hook, but when we got out into the water or open areas, we sometimes picked up a signal. That’s when we made all our important phone calls and checked email etc.

We don’t mind being off the grid sometimes when cruising, it really just adds to the experience. So, we took photos and notes while cruising last summer, but tried to focus on the experience of the moment and return to writing afterwards. We also figure there is not much blog postings and news to satisfy boaters trying to get through winter months, so we hope the postings are helping in that regard. We are currently in Marathon.
