Great Lakes Area Ranger Tugs/Cutwater Boats 2025 Rendezvous – Mackinaw City, Michigan

– We just put a wrap on our ninth Great Lakes Area Ranger Tugs 2025 Rendezvous. This year, we held it in Mackinaw City, Michigan.

Twenty-four boats of all sizes and 53 people (representing 7 states) joined us (some came by land) for social activities and presentations from sponsors, including a session by Jared Dunning from the Ranger Tugs Factory. Jared spent all three days of the event walking the docks, talking to owners, getting on their boats, answering questions, or creating a plan to address the problem.

Our rendezvous is beneficial to our fellow Ranger Tug and Cutwater Boat attendees because we provide an opportunity for owners to connect socially with people who have similar boats and possibly similar interests. It is a good way to learn, from each other and the presenters, more about their boats, accessories, and cruising adventures.

Another benefit of trailering your boat to a boat rendezvous is the ability to try other cruising grounds besides the ones close to home. Some of our attendees either cruised in the area before the rendezvous or after. Some of the locations we heard boats were headed after the rendezvous were… Beaver Island, Door County in Green Bay, and Northport. Other locations one could cruise to would be… Leland, Charlevoix, Harbor Springs, Mackinac Island, and many other small coastal towns of Michigan.
